Jean Lappin - Class of 1966

Jean Lappin

October 19, 1948  -  October 16, 2023

Jean, (nee Lappin),74, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Jean was born in Hackensack Hospital, to Louise and William Lappin, and spent her early life in New Milford, NJ, before moving to Paramus, NJ where she attended Our Lady of the Visitation School and graduated from Paramus High school graduating in 1966. Jean enjoyed a successful career over the years first at Dun & Bradstreet, then in Tupperware Management, and finally at Hackensack Audiology.

Beloved mother of Robert Wisenbaker Jr. and his significant other Jennifer of Bunnell, FL, and Amy Wisenbaker and her significant other Cory Blakely of Jacksonville, FL. Treasured grandmother of Aidan DeFazio-Wisenbaker of Bunnell, FL, and grandson Aaron. Most loving sister of Kathleen Graf and her husband Jeff. Dearest Aunt of Jeremy Graf (Merrie) and Matthew Graf (Andrea Macias). Cherished cousin of Sandra Doheny, Estelle Russoniello, and Dawn Viamante.

Jean's life has been full of love, joy, BIG fun family holidays, hard work, honesty, she had the keenest and kindest sense of humor and so very much more! She absolutely loved cooking and entertaining her entire family and dozens of friends, every holiday, birthday, graduation, any event that required a celebration, Jean was on it! Oh, how we will miss her specialty, Chicken Cordon Blue and chocolate layer cake topped with fresh cream and Bing cherries! All of Jean's friends describe her as the most loving, thoughtful, and positively upbeat person they have ever encountered! Jean was without a doubt, a most caring and protective mother to her two beloved children, Bobby, and Amy. There is nothing in this world that she would not do for each of them. Always boasting and encouraging her grandson's accomplishments in his young life, she adored Aidan like no other and was The Proudest Grandma. Jean spent just as much time loving her devoted little sister Kathy, always available to chat. What an amazing sisterly bond those two ladies had - daily chatting by phone, laughing, crying, reminiscing about anything and everything, past and present. They could sense when the other was about to phone. Jean was a gift to this world, a most compassionate soul, fun-loving, determined, diligent, spontaneous, thoughtful, giving, caring, with patience of a Saint. She cherished all aspects of her life and never ceased to see the bright side of every situation that arose, no matter how difficult it may be to handle, with the ease that she possessed. Her ability to make you feel completely and utterly loved, and that you truly “mattered” is unmatched by anyone. She will be forever sorely missed by everyone of her family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Jean. May Jean's soul rest in God's eternal peace.

Jean loved all shades of purple and lavender. Please feel free to dress in any shade of purple, in her honor. All family and friends are welcome to attend all services...especially her party at Biagio’s!
