Laura Jean Talarek Brown

Laura Jean Talarek Brown, 62, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away on August 17, 2026. She is survived by: her son, Joaquim Brown; her partner, Ricardo Ramos; sisters, Michelle Talarek (Tillison), Louise Talarek (O'Donnell), and Cheryl Talarek (Elizabeth Gillette); brother, Walter Talarek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a beloved mother, partner, sister and aunt. Laura's positive energy and enthusiasm for life affected all those who knew her. Laura graduated from PHS in three years and attended Bergen Community College, after which her adventurous spirit sent her to the mountains of Colorado, where she lived for many years. More recently, Laura moved to Northern Virginia with her son and partner and worked promoting various consumer products throughout the DC region. Laura's celebration of life will take place off the coast of New Jersey, where she loved to visit during her youth, after which her ashes will be spread over the ocean.
