Mrs. Mae Catsos

Mary C. Catsos (nee Lafayette), age 83 of Wilmington, formerly of River Edge, NJ died on May 2, 2004 at Sunrise, Foulk Manor North.

She was affectionately called "Mae." 

Mae left this world after a long illness. She was born in New York City to Mary O'Connor Lafayette and Dennis Lafayette. She and her beloved husband and soul-mate of 58 years, the late Nicholas N. Catsos, lived in River Edge, NJ for almost 50 years where Mae was the consummate homemaker and mother to their two children. 

Mae will forever be remembered as a beautiful, generous, loving and caring person, who volunteered at local hospitals for many years and was never shy to help someone in need. She endeavored tirelessly to care for and enjoy time with her loving family. She will be truly missed by all. 

Besides her parents, Mae was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas and her sister, Katherine Lafayette. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children, daughter, Marianne C. (McMackin) Sheran and husband Carl of Wilmington; her son, Dr. Nicholas Catsos and wife Teri of Tarpon Springs, FL; her sister, Margaret Roman and husband Joseph and their family of New Britian; her sister Katherine's family; and her devoted grandson, James H. McMackin III, Esq. Of Wilmington. She also leaves behind the lovable family dog, Daisy. 

The family would like to thank Foulk Manor North for their compassion and care for the past two years; Delaware Hospice for their care during the last few days of Mae's life and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for their prayers and visits to Foulk Manor North.
