Mrs. Dorothy Van Dillen

Dorothy B. Van Dillen (Williams), 86, died Sunday, November 18, 2007.
Born in Brooklyn, NY she resided in Clifton for the past 59 years. A graduate of Queens College, NY, Mrs. Van Dillen was employed as a substitute teacher for the Clifton Board of Education prior to her retirement in 1970. Previously she had been employed as a teacher for the Paramus Board of Education.
Mrs. Van Dillen is a member and Elder of the Athenia Reformed Church in Clifton and the former director of the church's junior choir. She is a member, Past Matron and Organist of Peace Chapter # 98 O.E.S. in Clifton and a dual member and Organist of Stella Chapter # 20 O.E.S. in Garfield. Mrs. Van Dillen is also a member of the Claverack Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is predeceased by her husband, David L. Van Dillen. Mrs. Van Dillen is survived by three sons, David of Manhattan Beach, CA, Paul of Weston, FL, and Richard of Den Hague, The Netherlands, by a daughter, Carol Van Dillen of Stillwater, by a brother, Edward Kaim of Washington, D.C., by two sisters, Ida Rissecher of Stuart, FL and Caroline Kaim Davis of Highland Beach, FL and by eight grandchildren.
