Mr. John Meili

John Jacob "Jack" Meili, Jr., of Bethel Park, PA, died on November 4, 2017. 

Jack was born on March 9, 1929 in North Bergen, New Jersey, the only child of John, Sr. and Emma Meili. He was the valedictorian of his high school in Weehawken, New Jersey and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He then worked for Westinghouse as an electrical engineer, frequently traveling internationally and holding various management positions in New Jersey, New York and Pittsburgh until he retired in 1989. 

Jack was devoted to his family and his community. He served as Cubmaster of Scout Troop 245 and on the Board of Education in Paramus, New Jersey. He served the parish at St. John Capistran in Upper St. Clair in a variety of capacities over the years. He enjoyed games of all kinds and was an accomplished chess, tennis, bowling and bridge player. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Jean (née Murphy). He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy (née Garman); his three children, William (Karen Quinlan Meili) of Colleyville, TX, Stephen (Leigh Payne) of Minneapolis, MN, and Patricia (James Schwarz) of Jacksonville, FL; and four grandchildren.
