Anne Smolensky was called home on Sept 4. 2013 at the age of 95. She departed this life surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was raised in NYC, then relocated to Paramus, NJ where she and her husband Henry raised their children. Pre-deceased by Henry, Anne relocated to Lakewood, NJ in 1988.

While raising her children, Anne Smolensky worked in the Paramus, NJ school district accounting department where her acute budgetary skills and quick humor kept the budget balanced and the administrators on their toes for 23 years. Following retirement from the Paramus School District, she became active in the League of Ukrainian Church Community, Southern New Jersey branch. Anne was one of the major fund-drivers for St. Stephen Ukrainian Catholic Church; overseeing year-round production and sales of homemade pedaheh. She was proud of her Ukrainian heritage and traditions and shared them with her family.

Anne is survived by her sister June Seiler; her daughter Regina Wittosch and husband Bill; her son Robert Smolensky and wife Maryalice; as well as her grand-children Justine, Martha, Katherine, Scott, and Lauren. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Jacob, Julianna, Jean, Ian, Sean, Tyler, Benjamin, Christian, and Andrew. She is additionally survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and family-like friends, and their children. She loved everyone dearly.

Anne's smile, quick wit, and thoughtful counsel will be deeply missed. Anne, Mom, Nanny, Grandma, Big-Nanny, Great-Nanny and Great-Grandma will be profoundly missed. 

Interment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Stephens Ukrainian Catholic Church, Toms River, in Anne Smolensky's memory are appreciated.
