Henry Knieps, 65, a baker who owned and operated his own shops in Dumont and Ho-Ho-Kus, died yesterday, April 30, 1965, at his home in Wayne.

Born in Germany, he came to this country at the age of 25 and had lived in Dumont before coming to Wayne in 1954.

A member of Pompton Lakes Elks Lodge, he was also a former member and past president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Lions Club and was a parishoner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hermine Isele; a daughter, Mrs. John (Roesch) of Langhorne, Pa.; two grandchildren; and a sister in Germany.
