Mrs. Ruth O. Waugh

Mrs. Ruth O. Waugh, 53, of 3548 Southwood Drive, Palmer Township, PA, died Tuesday, September 20, 1988, in St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of Richard A. Waugh.

She was a special education teacher in the Diebler Elementary School, Pennridge School District, for the past five years.

She graduated in 1957 from Paterson State College, Wayne, N.J., with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and held a master’s degree in special education from Ohio State University.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Alva (McQueen) Olsen.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson, where she served on the evangelism committee and was chairwoman of the church directory.

She was a past officer and director of the Easton Chapter, American Association of University Women.

Survivors: Husband; son Jeffrey A., at home; daughter Sherri, wife of Gary Irvin of San Mateo, Calif., and sisters, Elvera Rigolo of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Barbara Gillin of Chestertown, Md.
