Doris J. Green Slifko, 69, of Lanoka Harbor, Lacey Township, NJ, died Thursday December 5, 1996 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was a registered nurse at Paramus High School for 25 years, retiring in 1989.
Prior to that, she worked at the Hackensack Hospital emergency room. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association and a communicant of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church, Forked River, Lacey Township. She held a nursing degree and a bachelor's degree in education from Jersey City Medical Center Nursing School.
Mrs. Slifko was born in Elizabeth and lived in Paramus before moving to Lanoka Harbor in 1989. Her husband, Charles died in 1987. Surviving are a son, Mark, Fairfax, a daughter, Jeanne Alvis, Richmond, a sister, Anne Groben, Woodbridge Township; and four grandchildren.
