Fraser, Jeanette (nee Terhorst), age 85, of Hawthorne, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024. 

Born in Paterson, Jeanette grew up in Prospect Park and Hawthorne where she had lived most of her life. After earning her bachelor’s degree, Jeanette became a teacher and retired as a business/computer teacher from Kearny High School. 

In her spare time, Jeanette enjoyed home decorating and antiquing, she had many collectable sets that she enjoyed adding to and displaying. Throughout her life, Jeanette loved to travel, she had visited much of Europe, including Paris, Germany, and Italy. She had also visited Russia, over 30 U.S. States, and made a few cross-country road trips to California. 

Jeanette was the beloved wife of Edward Fraser (2021). Loving mother of Justine Berndt and her husband William of Allendale and Mark Fraser and his wife Heather of Mendham. Grandmother of Alexandra Berndt, Hallie Berndt, Hannah Fraser, and Sydney Fraser. Sister of Connie Van Den Hende and her husband Harry, and Lori Thrower. 

Predeceased by her three sisters, Marie Dorian, Hedy Williams, and Fran Campbell.  Interment at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
