Jean Stobie McMann, age 91, of Hackettstown, formerly of Paramus, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Heath Village in Hackettstown NJ.
Jean was born July 19, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland. She is the daughter of John and Elspet (Redpath) Gall. Mrs. McMann was a secretary for the Paramus Board of Education. She also worked as a salesperson for Cornell's, AS, and Macy's.
She was a Charter Member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Paramus, NJ and was currently a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown, NJ. She worked as a volunteer in the gift shop at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.
While at Heath Village, she was an active member and participant of their many activities. Mrs. McMann was very proud of her Scottish heritage, including wearing her kilts and listening to the music of bagpipes. She also enjoyed traveling, especially cruising to Bermuda. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Fleming and her husband Gary of Budd Lake, NJ, her granddaughter, Kimberly Fleming; and her grandson, Brian Fleming and his wife Marissa. Also, she will be missed by her dear friend, Walter Hampson. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Alfred McMann and by her twin sister, Betty Lange.
Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown, NJ.
