Mrs. Ruth Cecelia Rose Cerro Gorham

September 21, 1922 - May 19, 2012

Ruth Cecelia Rose Cerro Gorham of Hamilton, NJ, passed from this world on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center.

Ruth was born in Montpelier, Vermont on September 21, 1922 and was the daughter of Ellen and Henry Cerro.

She married the love of her life Jack Gorham on June 29, 1946. They were the parents of Patricia and Stephen Gorham and the grandparents of Katrin and Daniel Gorham. Ruth and Jack settled in Paramus. Ruth worked for the Paramus High School cafeteria and retired as manager there. She was a former member of the Paramus Police Reserve Ladies Auxiliary, former treasurer for the local AARP chapter in Paramus, an active member of Sacred Heart RC Church in Rochelle Park, where she was a member of the Rosary Society.

Ruth was preceded in death by her dear husband Jack, her sister Catherine Conners, Mary Cerro and her brothers Dennis, Herbert and Henry Cerro. Ruth was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Bill Gorham and Chuck Conners, and her sisters-in-law Betty, Grace, Helen, Janet and Marion.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Patricia and son-in-law John Kelly of Hamilton, NJ and her son Stephen and daughter-in-law Sharon of Perry Hall, MD, granddaughter Katrin and grandson Daniel of Perry Hall, MD. Ruth will also be remembered by her sister Eleanor, her brother Gregory and his wife Ethel, her brother Robert, her brother Charles and his wife Ruth, her brother John and his wife Peggy and many loving nephews, nieces and friends.

Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Hamilton Continuing Care Center, 1059 Edinburg Road, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.
