Tammy Medzadourian, 54, of Township of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27th. Beloved wife of Deek Medzadourian. Devoted mother of Deek Jr., Kailey, Reilly and Joni. Dear sister of Colene Fonseca and Thomas Tobiassen. Loving aunt of Travis Fonseca. Predeceased by her parents Barbara and Stanley Tobiassen.
Born in Passaic, NJ, Tammy lived in Paramus, NJ for 27 years and after a brief stay in Fairlawn, NJ, relocated to Township of Washington, NJ for the past 20 years. Tammy was a dedicated member of the Paramus Ambulance Corps for many years, an exemplary dance mom, the best, most loving partner to her husband and she took great pride in talking about the accomplishments of her four children. She met the love of her life Deek while working at Levitz Furniture in 1991 and the pair spent 27 years happily married.
Tammy loved spending time at her favorite place, the Jersey shore, with her friends and family, drinking Cosmopolitans with her girlfriends, and holidays with "the core." She loved music and attending Billy Joel & Bruce Springsteen concerts with her husband and kids, she loved experimenting in the kitchen, and she would do anything for her dear friends. On the weekends, you could find Tammy rooting for the N.Y. Giants, Rangers or Yankees beside her husband, supporting her daughter's latest dance endeavors or relaxing by the fire & looking at falling stars with her family and beloved dog Lacey.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ where she taught in their summer CCD programs for many years. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, January 3 from 3-7PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. A Mass celebrating Tammy's life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C., Hillsdale, NJ on Monday, January 4 at 10AM. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
