Donald C. "Don" Petra
December 1, 1960 - August 31, 2026
Donald C. Petra, 65, of Cheektowaga, NY, passed after an illness on 08/31/2026. Born 12/01/1960, he was the son of the late Donald and Gloria Petra. He is survived by his daughter Rebecca McGregor, his sister Sheryl Petra, his two grandchildren, Julia Petra and Amelia McGregor, and 3 step children.
Don loved his motorcycle exploring new roads on a nice day. Riding the waves at the Jersey shore was also one of his favorite activities.
Whenever he went to Boston he had to make a stop at The Salty Dog to get his oysters.
Don worked as a forklift driver, owned his own pool business in Florida and was handy.
In his younger days he pitched for little league baseball and played basketball for the recreation department in town. He was a great athlete.
