Jack Powers - Class of 1972

 

 

 

 

Powers, Jack, 62, of Paramus, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016.  Jack worked for the New York City Economic Development Corporation as the Vice President of Facilities Management.  He was an Honorary Master Chief for the United States Navy, a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church Paramus, a member of the Professional Ski Instructors Association of America, and was a Carpenter Journeyman.

Jack lived life to the fullest, sharing a good glass of wine (preferably red) and good humor.  He filled his time with many friends and hobbies. Skiing was his first love, followed by golf and wine making, and was the proud founder of the Burlington Wine Cellars.  Whenever there was a job to be done, he was always there, a true Jack of all trades.

Jack's pride and joy were his three daughters: Jessica, Colleen, and Elizabeth. He was the former husband to Kelly. Beloved brother of Frank Powers and his wife Anne Marie, Tom Powers, Pat Smith and her husband Tom, Jeanne Powers and Steven Powers and his wife Linda, and had a large loving family.  He is pre-deceased by his parents, Jim and Mary Powers.
