Indeed, he was an "amiable artist"...  

I knew Paul from Spring Valley School but mostly through Cub & Boy Scouts.  There, Troop 246 was involved with great activities such as litter patrols in Town, charity sales of 5 LB bags of potatoes, camping field trips to far away places - like Vineland, NJ...  He was always good natured and friendly and smart.

Paul was the first kid I ever saw who was obese as a child.  Sadly, he was more than occasionally vilified for it by his classmates and 'Scoutmates'.  To this moment, it bothers me that now having the verbal, mental and physical confidence gained of 67 years, I wish I had my present skills then, as a kid - and therefore the skills and courage to stand by him when he was disparaged...
