Patricia Schulz Kroeger

Patricia (Pat) Kroeger 68, of Waretown, formerly of Paramus, NJ passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Pat was born in Ridgewood, graduating from Paramus High School with the Class of 1973. Pat pursued and achieved a degree in Special Education which she received from Glassboro State College, now Rowan University. Pat was employed by Bergen County Special Services as a Special Education Teacher in their Life Skills program for more than 35 years before retiring and moving to Waretown.
Pat was an avid reader and lifelong lover of the Jersey Shore, having spent almost 30 summers with her family at her parent’s vacation home on Long Beach Island. Pat loved to settle into a comfortable beach chair and read a book.
Pat also enjoyed traveling and as a teacher, she had summers off. One such summer she travelled to Anchorage, Alaska to visit a grade school friend, where she ended up taking a summer job, so she could experience what summer life outside of New Jersey was like. Pat had also been on numerous cruises, where she enjoyed kicking back and visiting many ports of call with her husband Rob and daughter Katie.
Pat enjoyed following sports, including horseracing and football. She along with her husband and daughter were devoted fans/followers of the NY Jets. She loved the time she spent attending her nephew’s high school and college football games cheering him and his teams on.
Pat is survived by her husband Rob and daughter Katie of Waretown, her sisters Sherry Schulz of River Vale, and Barbara Schulz of Toms River and Brother Jim Schulz of Wallington and her five nieces and nephews, Robbie, Danny, Stephanie, Jimmie and Victoria.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, Blanche and Robert Schulz and her brother Robert Schulz, Jr. and his wife Mary Ellen, as well as her in-laws Robert and Ella Kroeger.
Pat loved to have fun and will be missed by her sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Diabetes Association or Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Pat’s name would, be appreciated.
