James Mayer - Class of 1988

James "Jim" Matthew Mayer, 37, of Buffalo Grove, IL, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. He was born April 27, 1970 in Jersey City, NJ. Jim was raised in Paramus, NJ and attended State University of New York, New Paltz, before moving to Illinois in 1997. He was employed at the Sunset Food Mart in Northbrook for the past several years. Jim's passion was writing. He was a founding member of and writer for Three Card Monte, a sketch comedy troupe formed in 2003. The group has released two cd's, and performed their first live show in Chicago in February of 2007. Jim was a happy-go-lucky guy, very devoted to his family, and a loyal friend who always had a kind word for everyone. Surviving are his parents, Sheldon and Mary Beth Mayer of Buffalo Grove; a sister, Kristy (Rick) Salm of Riverwoods; two nephews, Ryan and Connor.
