Ron Braham (1967)

This is a tough one. God bless him, he was hard to handle.

We were really tight at PHS, which meant we played hoops, fought, drank, argued, chased girls, fought again, partied and fought some more. He wandered off to college but we thought he'd come back to be in our wedding party. I still remember Maggio walking into the church for rehearsal saying, "He didn't call you? He won't be here." (Thanks again for standing in, Pete). Then...nothing for forty years.

In 2009, he drops in from nowhere by phone and we reconnect. He was coming out to Philadelphia and we made plans to meet. At the hotel, we both wandered around the lobby eyeing each other from a distance until he asked if i was Ron Braham! It was a great dinner and another visit at my home. The remaining years were regular phone calls with the occasional argument - some things never change.

May he rest in peace. He drove me crazy, but I loved him. He was my bro.
