ABRAMS
Ellen Susan (nee Palant), 68, of Fair Lawn, passed away on January 30, 2015. Ellen, loving wife of Harold Abrams, passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer. Ellen, formerly of Paramus, NJ, was born in the Bronx. She previously worked at Midland Elementary School in Paramus, NJ and Social Services of Ridgewood and Vicinity.
She is survived by her adoring husband Harold, loving daughter Amy and her husband Seth, beloved brother Laurence and his wife Mona, and cherished grandchildren Noah and Leah.

Ellen was five years older than me - her brother Larry was in my class. Even though I was one of the lowly little kids compared with her, I remember that she was very nice - so nice, in fact, that I recall there was a little "party" thrown by some of the "big girls" - my cousin, Joyce DeFeo Cochran, Carol Tricourt and perhaps a few others - and out of some kindly impulse, they included me. My goodness! That was a special invitation.
