Ronald R. Behnke
August 7, 1945 - December 24, 2022
Ronald, 77, of Paramus, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Born in Hackensack, Ronald was a lifelong resident of Paramus. Before retiring, Ronald worked as an electrician for Local IBEW 164. He was a parishioner at the Church of the Annunciation. Ron loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. An outdoors man he enjoyed hunting, fishing and most recently he took up golf. A proud veteran he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He also was a life member of the American Legion post # 170 in Rochelle Park, NJ
Cherished husband of Dale (Hellstern) Behnke. Beloved father of Keri (Behnke) Chichizola and her husband Joel, and Kimberly Jerie. Dear brother of Virginia (Behnke) Lutton and her husband Dave, and the late Richard Behnke. Predeceased by his parents Eleanor & Richard Behnke. Treasured grandfather of Lucas, Leila, and Chelsea. Dear great grandfather of Abbie, Mille, and Ellie. Also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Friday December 30, 2022 from 2pm - 6pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 6pm. Followed by military honors. Cremation will be held privately.

When I was in middle school, my parents and I used to go to the Behnke's to socialize. Not sure how they become friends, but it may have been through the Fire Department across the street. I always remember playing Board Games with Ron, who was a couple of years older, and always made me laugh. Not to mention that I had a crush on him. Funny how some people stay in your memory over 60 years. I hope he had a wonderful life. Nancy Dabinett Austin
