Tom always had a smile, lots of fun and always knew he was thinking of something to make us all laugh. Tom was in my History Class with a new teacher. The teacher thought Tom did not do the reading homework. Teacher asks a question and he knew the answer and then some. He must have loved history. He was a gentle person with a great personality.

With deepest sympathy I was sad to her this news.

I went to school with Skids (Tommy) from Kindergarten at the Spring Valley School thru High School.  He always made us laugh and always had a big smile for everyone.  He was on my dad's baseball team and my dad often spoke of Tommy as one of his best players and nicest boys to work with.  Even years later when my dad saw him at a golf course, he was nothing but kind to dad and spoke at his baseball days.

Even in High School when we would pass each other in the halls, he would offer me a shy smile.  I am sure he will be missed by all of his family and friends, I know I will think the world a little sadder without Skids in it.

It is with great sadness that I have learned about Tom (Skids).  I knew Tom before Eastbrook (I was an OLV boy) playing baseball and basketball in the rec and travel leagues.  He was always a great hitter and he could shoot!  In high school, he played on our championship 1969 football team which was inducted into the PHS Hall of Fame.  He played safety on defense for us and played a great game when we beat unbeaten Fair Lawn on our way to the title.  After high school, he played a few years on my Paramus Semipro baseball team.  I cannot believe he is no longer with us.  But, forever, there will be only one Skids!

Very sorry to hear about Tom and my thoughts are with his family and friends. He was a terrific athlete and teammate. More importantly, he was a genuine, really nice guy, who always was fun to talk with. I was glad I had the opportunity to visit with Tom at the HOF dinner in 2019 and see that none of that had changed. Tom will be missed I am sure, but thankfully he left us with many great memories. So long Skids, thanks for those memories and keeping us smiling.
