Eileen Welstead (Piekarz) - Class of 1961

Eileen Welstead Piekarz

Eileen M. (Welstead) Piekarz, 56, of Clifton, died Wednesday April 21, 1999.

Born in Hackensack, she lived in Paramus before moving to Clifton 35 years ago. Mrs. Piekaarz, and administrative director for DSM Resins Co., Elmwood Park for 10 years, also worked at William Wrigley Co., Saddle Brook.

She was a parishoner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, a past president of Clifton's School 1 PTA and founder and adult advisor of its B.E.  Stamp Club. A member and coach of the Clifton Women's Softball League, she was a former member of the advisory council of the Elmwood Park High School, a former member of the Oradell Archery Association, a member of the Paramus Bowling League and a volunteer with the Wallington Lions Club.

Surviving are her husband, Michael; two sons, Douglas of Akron, Ohio, and Daniel of Clifton; two daughters, Suzanne of Yardley, Pa., and Christine Carbone of Brentwood, Los Angeles; her mother Margareta Welstead of Dade City, Fla.; a sister, Elizabeth Rohack of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
