YORKTOWN - William Norman (Bill) Thompson, 70, of Yorktown, departed this life after a long illness on September 26, 2015. Born on March 9, 1945, in Kearny, NJ, he was preceded in death by his parents Norman McEwan and Margaret Hamilton Thompson. He is survived by his daughter, Kimm Ellen Thompson, also of Yorktown. Bill served in the U.S. Army in Munich, Germany and lived most of his life in the western U.S. He recently moved to Virginia to be with his daughter.
