James David Young

James D. “David” Young, 82, of Grattan Township, MI, passed away on March 18, 2025, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital.

David was born on October 11, 1942, in Newport, Rhode Island.

After high school, David immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force to serve his country. After he was discharged, he began his successful career as a shoe salesman. He was a simple man who enjoyed reading, listening to music and spending time at his house on Big Pine Island Lake.

David is survived by his sons; James (Melissa) Young, Thomas (Jennifer) Young, a granddaughter; Lindsay Kallbrier and his sister; Gail Young. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue.
