Posted for Barry Ross as a memory of Bruce

There are several memories in mind but I will pare it down to a single significant one.  This story is about an event outside school and it relates to a past close friend, an outstanding PHS student and athlete, and overall good guy . . . Bruce Forest.

Ros, my Riverdell sweetie and spouse, had a close platonic relationship as they would incessantly discuss with each other world affairs and many other topics.  Ros and I had occasions to double date with Bruce and a date.  On one occasion, a close Riverdell friend of Ros' went on a date with Bruce and they doubled with us to Palisades Amusement Park (aah . . . glory days).  The four of us being much younger and more brazen, took a ride on the Ferris wheel.  Unfortunately, at the apex position of the ride, the wind was quite gusty.  As a result, his toupee was blown off revealing a different Bruce!  After that unfortunate event, we were invited to each other's weddings. We remained close with Bruce and his wife Geri right up until tragedy struck that fateful day on the roads in Texas.  Bruce has been sorely missed.

Bruce was on his way to a dedicated career with a wife and child in his life.

I am saddened to learn that this accident happened

Bruce could have made a difference in the medical field and I'm sure his parents, family and friends were very proud of him,

May God bless  such a young man and a fellow graduate.
