Mitchell Gurland
February 10, 1958 - November 3, 2019
Mitchell Arthur Gurland passed away after complications following an acute cardiac arrest on
Sunday November 3, 2019 at the age of 61.
Born in Englewood, New Jersey, the family moved to Paramus, New Jersey when Mitch was 7 years old. After high school, Mitch attended Indiana University majoring in broadcast and communications. After graduating with a BA degree, Mitch moved to Burlington Vermont and worked at WJOY a local radio station where he had a nightly program and coined his signature sign off "It's going to be a cold night tonight Aunt Nettie throw another blanket on the bed".
Mitch returned to New Jersey and began a long career in sales management for Fortune 500 telecommunication and insurance companies. Most recently, Mitch was working with Altice USA. In 1991, Mitch met Monica Dellepiane they married in 1995. They have three beautiful children, Natalie 20, Nikki 15 and Nathan 13. Mitch is predeceased by his loving parents Herbert Henry and Dorothee Gurland leaving his wife, children, sister Robin Gurland, in-laws Emilio and Rosa Dellepiane and extended family.
