In Memory

Joan Seigelman (Orgeron) - Class of 1971

Joan "Joni" Seigelman Orgeron

April 8, 1953 - October 12, 2023

Joann "Joni" Seigelman Orgeron was the beloved wife of Gregory Orgeron, the loving mother of Zoe and Adam Klein, the proud mother-in-law of Katherine Klein, the doting grandmother of George, Anna and Luke Klein and the sister of Howard Seigelman.

She leaves behind countless family and friends and a legacy of admiration and respect to all of those who knew her. She also loved her puppies very much and was an adamant and active supporter of adoption organizations.

A large part of Joni's - 24 years - was spent at Runnels School. She was a huge part of what made Runnels a magical place. Joni's way of seeing the good and specialness in every child she met, her passion for teaching, and how she shared the joy of reading with children of all ages was amazing! Joni was talented, creative compassionate, patient, unselfish, kind, super intelligent, dedicated and loving. Joni made the library into an oasis, a place where children loved to be, called by many, "the happiest place on campus."

Joni's gifts were countless. Her most special gift was sharing her precious self with her family and friends. She was much loved, respected and appreciated. Joni Orgeron's life was a beautiful bouquet! How lucky are we, her friends and family, to have been touched by the flowers of her life.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Red Shoes at https://www.theredshoes.org/support/.
