Michael Casale
October 24, 1951 - February 9, 2025
Michael Aniello Casale, 73, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Louis Michael Casale and Elaine (Hess) Casale.
Mike was a graduate of Paramus High School, Paramus, New Jersey in 1969 and Newark College of Engineering, where he received his degree in electrical engineering. He enjoyed a long career at Hewlett-Packard and other companies, ending his career as a consultant.
Mike was a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church and served faithfully on the tech team for many years. He was also an ordained deacon and elder. He loved spending time with former classmates, coworkers, all dear and longtime friends, and dear church family. He and his sister would facetime daily at the dinner hour, cooking then dining together. Mike was quite adept at the culinary arts.
Mike was an avid soccer and tennis fan, and had played extensively in his early years. His humor was iconic, dry and reminiscent of his favorite comics, the Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, W.C. Fields, Monty Python and The Three Stooges. His generosity and cheer knew no bounds. Mike was an encouragement to family and friends beyond measure and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his sister, Carlyn Wojtal; his nephew, William Wojtal and great niece, Ava Brooklyn Wojtal, all of North Carolina; numerous dear friends and extended family.
Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or Limestone Presbyterian Church (Wilmington, DE).
