Alan Dziuma
November 29, 1945 - April 24, 2025
Alan Dziuma, 79, recently of Randolph, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Randolph.
Born on November 29, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, Alan was the son of the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Custard) Dziuma. He grew up in Paramus, NJ, and graduated from Paramus High School before earning his degree in Accounting from Upsala College.
Alan proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1971. After his military service, he settled in Maywood, NJ, where he lived for over 40 years.
A smart and hardworking accountant, Alan spent many years with JayGo, Inc. in Union, NJ. After retiring, he embraced the simple joys of life — spending time at the Jersey Shore, watching numerous sports, including his favorite team the New York Yankees, and staying active through exercise and fitness, which he greatly enjoyed. He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia, often able to recount stories about each item. His knowledge of sports statistics was impressive.
Alan is survived by his devoted niece and nephew, Karen DeRosa and her husband Joe, and David Dziuma and his wife Whitney; his cherished grandnephews and grandnieces, William, Daniel, Charlotte, Katharine, and Elizabeth; his sister-in-law, Judith Dziuma; and his dear friend Carol Hallman. He was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Dziuma, earlier this year.
Alan's Life Celebration will include a private burial with military honors presented by the United States Navy at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover Township, NJ.
Alan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
