In Memory

Anthony Gilio - Class of 1986

Anthony Gilio II

It is with a great sadness and a heavy heart, that I share the unexpected passing of my dad Anthony Gilio II. Anthony was an amazing father to two children, the late, Anthony Gilio III, and Martamarie Gilio. He was a beloved son, uncle, husband and honorable friend. Within the last year, Anthony fulfilled his dream, venturing out and moving to Maui, Hawaii.

My dad always had a large heart and a passion to help people. After the loss of my brother, his son, all he wanted to do was reach out and help the community. Moving to the island he was able to flourish and embrace Hawaiian culture. He spread love and Aloha by helping the homeless community and becoming one with his new home. He helped unhoused people get jobs, find living resources, assisted with getting them food and clothing and even shelter.

Leaving behind myself, his daughter Martamarie, he has joined my brother Anthony in heaven. Not only does losing my father bring emotional pain, it also comes along with unbelievable stress, irreparable grief as well as bringing financial hardships. All of the expenses and costs are unbelievable and were definitely not expected by me at 26 years old. All of this is just an additional burden on top of this sudden loss. All proceeds donated will be going directly towards covering cremation and both services on the island he loved, and where he grew up back home in New Jersey.

Everyone who knew Anthony knew he was a light in the world and will still continue to shine bright. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him, and we hope that the memories you have of his warm, kind heart will live on forever. Please keep our family in your prayers during these times, and I thank everyone that is able to donate and help me pull through this.

Whether you are able to donate, or share, or even took the time to read this I want to thank you.
