Danny Vanino, aged 72, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at his home in Glen Rock, New Jersey. Born in the Bronx, New York, Danny dedicated his life to service, family, and community.
Danny served in the United States Air Force from 1971 until 1974. After his military service, he became a valued member of the Glen Rock Fire Department, where he served from 1982 to 2000. Danny was a devoted employee at Kyrocera, where he worked full-time from 2006 until his passing.
Above all, Danny was a family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Susan Vanino, with whom he shared a loving partnership of 47 years. He was a guiding light to his children, Alex Vanino and Stephanie Vanino, and a hero to his grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Vanino. Danny's daughter-in-law, Nube Romero, also feels the deep loss of a truly supportive father figure.
Danny loved music and playing the guitar, often filling his home with custom guitars that he built himself. Danny was also an avid animal lover, caring deeply for his pets who were as much a part of the family as anyone. Whether it was a quiet evening at home on his spot on the couch in front of the TV or a home project, his presence was a comforting and loving constant in the lives of his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glen Rock Fire Department in memory of Daniel Vanino, to honor his commitment to service and the love for his family.
