Douglas Scott Williamson
Douglas Williamson, 62, of Paramus, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Doug was a
parishioner and a deep believer at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C.Church, Paramus.
Doug's passion in life was taking care of others; mentoring and teaching in the Emergency
Services field. In these endeavors, Doug was proud to be an EMT and Paramedic. His
teams won National Competitions which brought him many joys. Doug did not leave his job
at work, his nursing career was part of his personality; he had so many friends, many of
whom could be considered family, in the health care community. He was dedicated to those
who needed comfort and care.
Doug's younger years and presently always enjoyed playing softball with many lifelong
friends. He especially LOVED playing softball with his "WHIP" team. His caring personality
also lent itself to the love of animals and the many dogs he lived with throughout his life. He
was an artist as well, and enjoyed portraiture. Recently, he spent time vacationing and
traveling with family and friends; he loved the Jersey shore. So many memories were made
at Hunter Mountain, LBI, Halloween parties, softball games, backyard parties and other
events that all would attend together.
Loving nephew and godson of Marie Pavin. Cherished cousin of Michele and her husband
Michael Hulahan, Marissa and her husband Daniel Hulahan, and Michael Pavin. The
California cousins: Cathy and Tony Mancini and Ann Marie Werner. Devoted uncle to Kelly,
Scott, Christopher, Nicole, John, Karson, Kora, and Kenzie. Extended family Greg, Coddie,
Sophia and Olivia Pavin. Lifelong best friend Jeff Alba. Longtime companion Deborah
Hortas. Predeceased by his sister Jennifer Williamson, brother Christopher Williamson, and
parents Dolores and Douglas Williamson.
Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
