Douglas Campbell - Class of 1977

Douglas Roy Campbell

March 25, 1959  -  April 22, 2025

Douglas Campbell, 66, of Paramus, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Before retiring, Douglas worked as a graphic artist. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Church in Paramus. Douglas was a true outdoorsman, finding joy in every moment spent under the open sky. Whether it was relaxing by the beach, exploring hidden trails, or casting a line into a quiet stream, he embraced every opportunity to camp, hike, and fish. Nature wasn’t just a backdrop for Doug-it was a part of who he was.

A selfless and kind soul, Douglas had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome. His warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. In the quiet of his own backyard, he found peace in feeding the flocks of birds that returned time and again, a testament to the gentle spirit he carried.

Doug also had a vibrant sense of adventure and fun. He knew all the best-kept secrets of Manhattan’s underground nightlife and never passed up a chance to share a laugh, a story, or a drink with friends. For those lucky enough to know him, Doug wasn’t just someone who lived life-he celebrated it, and made sure everyone around him did too.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
