William Berezny - Class of 1961

William "Bill" Berezny

BEREZNY, William, Jr, 79, of Paramus, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

He was born in Passaic to William and Marie (nee Shagen) Berezny, Sr. He grew up in Paramus and attended elementary, middle and high school there. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, he was a highly successful and respected mechanical engineer with Top Secret Security Clearance. He worked in Defense Communications throughout his career, up until his well-deserved and anxiously anticipated retirement. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, served in the US Army, and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service at the United States Army Missile Command.

William is predeceased by his parents William and Marie.

William is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Brenda Berezny; daughter Linda Robinson-Tucker and her husband David of Paramus; brother Robert of Homosassa, FL; granddaughters Gianna and Mia Tucker of Paramus; and many cousins, dear relatives, and friends. His granddaughters were his greatest joy, and he lost no opportunity to shower them with endless love, attention, and whatever their hearts desired. He was a kind and gentle soul with a hilarious and sarcastic sense of humor. You could count on him in a way that is very rare, as he was truly a man of his word and the epitome of integrity. He was deeply loved, the loss is profound, and the grief that his family is experiencing will continue for the rest of their lives.

Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
