Susan Brady Ottogalli, Class of 1971

VERNON - Susan P. Ottogalli, nee Brady, 65, peacefully passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Ridgewood, Susan was raised in Paramus, where she lived until moving to Sussex County in 1991. She was a teacher at the Franklin Elementary School for 25 years and recently retired in 2017. Susan was a member of the NJEA union, where she served as a former union representative and president. She loved her family very much and especially adored her grandkids. Susan enjoyed her time spent at the beach and her family vacations at LBI. She had a passion for watching "Dancing with the Stars" with her neighbors.

She was predeceased by her father, William R. Brady. Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Thomas; her daughter, Kristyn Mastrianni and her husband, Kevin, of Vernon; her son, Steven Haemmerle, of Vernon; her stepson, Chris Ottogalli and his wife, Lauren, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; her mother, Bernice (Kowaleski) Brady, of Grandview, N.Y.; her brother, William Brady, of Wales; her sister, Lisa Brady, of Grandview, N.Y.; and her three grandchildren, Kaylei, Mikey and Luna.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made in Susan Ottogalli's memory to Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
