Carol Anne Salsbury Wordell

March 30, 1949 - January 14, 2007

BRANFORD, Conn. - After a spirited and courageous battle with ovarian cancer, on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, Carol A. (Salsbury) Wordell, passed away at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, surrounded by a blanket of love from family, friends, and caregivers.

For the last 38 years, she was the wife of Robert Wordell. They resided in Plantsville, and summered at their home in Dennisport.

Born in Newark, N.J., on March 30, 1949, she was the daughter of Robert Salsbury of Paramus, N.J., and the late Irene (Miller) Salsbury.

Besides her husband and father, she is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Kara Wordell of Newton, Mass.; a daughter, Renee Wordell of Plantsville; two brothers, Robert Salsbury of Chicago, Ill., and Glenn Salsbury of Paramus, N.J.; two sisters, Beth Ruffilo of Wayne, N.J., and Laura Salsbury of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and three cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel, Gordon and Meriel Wordell.
