Philip Leroy Krug Jr - Class of 1960

October 24, 1942 - August 12, 2015

PINEHURST, NORTH CAROLINA - Philip Leroy Krug Jr., 72, of Pinehurst, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015.

He was an Army veteran. Survived by: Wife, Gloria; sons, Philip III and Michael; daughter, Muriel Schuman; brothers, Randall and Christopher; sister, Aleida Kocse; and six grandchildren.

Terribly saddened to hear of Phil's passing. He was a good friend...and a hell of a baseball player! My sympathies go out to his Family! Rest In Peace, Phil!

Dwight Galda (1960)

Phil was an all arouund good guy and a great third baseman for the Spartens. I remember him making some incredible scoops at third and getting the ball to Roy at first inb time. My heartfelt sympthaties to his family and admiration for his service. Well done Phil.

Like all of you who have responded to the passing of Phil I too am greatly saddened to hear this news.Phil was a great friend, terrific sports partner and a wonderful person. He is a significant loss to all and I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Very sad to hear of Phil's passing. Like all of us in the class of 1960, Phil helped set the traditions for PHS. We may be getting smaller in numbers but we, and especially you Phil, Will never be forgotten.

So very sorry to hear of Phils passing.  He was such a great part of our class.  Great al laround guy, great athlete .  I am sure he turned out to be a great man with his family and friends.   God Bless Phil

So sorry to hear of his death. I use to play a lot of baseball and basketball with him. ALways a smile on his face.
