I knew Bruce well having spent three years on the wrestling team together.  Wrestling is a sport that establishes lifelong bonds.  You learn something about people who endured the sport's many challenges.  Although we didn't see each other often, it didn't matter.  We just picked up where we left off.

Below is a picture of the 1962-63 wrestling team with Bruce standing next to his good friend Barry Tuchin.  You may think it odd that sports pictures are included in this notice, but I believe Bruce would have wanted this picture, and the picture of the team reunited at the Class of 1963's 45th Reunion to appear in this posting .  He was proud of his achievements on the mats, and rightfully so.  It's bewildering why after being an integral part of the wrestling team for 3 years that no mention of it is included below his yearbook picture.

my friend forever   we spoke almost every morning - texas  to honolulu

bruce's daughter  lisa called me with the awful shocking news the other night

bruce  told me his mom of 92 went back into the hospital in florida so i assummed

that bruce went to see her after i didn't reach him for 3 days  such a good person  never a mean thing to say to another    maybe i can pass on some of the stories thah brought our laughter almost to tears on to his 2 kids
