Richard Wolfson

Richard S. Wolfson, CFI, CEI, PI, 76, of Hackensack formerly of Garfield, passed away on November 17, 2023. Born in Bronx, NY raised in Paramus lived in Garfield for over 50 years finally settling in Hackensack 2 years ago. Before retiring he was a Fire/Arson Investigator for over 30 years and worked for Atlantic Professional Services in Nutley. He also was a Fire Explosion Investigator and a Private Investigator. Richard is a retired firefighter for the Garfield Volunteer Fire Department Engine Company #1 for over 40 years and a life member of the department. He was founder of NJ Metro Fire Photography Association, a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), member of the Knights of Fire Motorcycle Club and a member of the United States Army National Guard. Richard was also a Corvette enthusiast. Preceded in death by his parents Maxwell and Helen Wolfson. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Roma) Wolfson. Devoted father of Shannon Rumsey and her husband Ryan of Westwood.
