Richard Alan Rosenmeier

Richard Alan Rosenmeier passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the age of 74. The son of the late Max and Marjorie (Parent) Rosenmeier, Richard was born on January 28, 1948 in Englewood, New Jersey. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring old cars. In most recent years, he loved his Model A’s – restoring, driving and taking them to car shows in various places in the area. He is a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, Saginaw Valley Region and the Model “A” Restorers Club, Script “A” Region. In 1985, while living in Vero Beach, Florida, Richard began working at Piper Aircraft, Inc. where he met Rosalie Holihan and they were married in 1989 and were happily married for 33 ½ years. Richard worked as a Purchasing Agent at Piper Aircraft, Inc. until 2006 when he and his wife moved to Saginaw.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rosalie; two daughters, Celeste (Steve) Lane, Tennessee and Michelle (Joseph) Coles, Florida; his five grandchildren, Austin, Kaleb and Karlee Lane and Joseph (JC) and Larkyn Coles. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margarete (Peg) Rosenmeier and his grandson, Jesse Knowles.

Honoring Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd. Rev. Fr. James Carlson will officiate. Private inurnment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to your favorite charity in Richard’s memory.
