Nancy Corcoran - Class of 1971

Nancy Corcoran

In Loving Memory

Nancy J. Waddingham, 70, of Centennial, CO, passed away peacefully at her home on Oct. 31. Nancy was born in Ridgewood, N.J., to John J. Corcoran and Helen Burns on Sept. 12, 1953. She graduated from Paramus High School in 1971 and earned an associate’s degree from Bergen Community College.

After spending several years in Buffalo, N.Y., Nancy moved with her family to Colorado in 1990. She worked in real estate for many years in Denver, selling homes across the Front Range for Ryland, Pulte and Lennar Homes. Nancy was very involved in the lives of her friends, children, and grandchildren. Her family was her greatest achievement, pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Douglas A. Waddingham; her daughter, Rebecca Boyle (Greg) and their children, Abigail and Evelyn; and her son, Timothy Waddingham (Amanda) and their children, Camden, Elliott, and Olive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel parish in Aurora at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8. Nancy’s beloved cousin Fr. Kevin Kelly will be the Mass celebrant.

Nancy was a luminous fountain of grace, love, and kindness, bringing wisdom, hope, and cheer to all who knew her. She was also a deep well of strength for her friends and family, especially for her daughter and son. Her happiness, sense of humor, and unrelenting positivity inspired all she touched. Her faith carried her through her life, and will carry her into the everlasting. Nancy was the center of her family, and her family was the center of her life. She loved traveling with Doug, her children, and her grandchildren — including annual trips to Coronado, CA that her family will forever cherish; she loved her children’s dogs; she loved spending holidays with her family; she loved setting up special events and activities; she enjoyed spending time with her innumerable friends; and she loved finding joy and togetherness in the mundane tasks of random weekday afternoons.

In her last several years, Nancy was overjoyed to spend quality one-on-one time with her grandchildren. She lived her life to the fullest and laughed every day of her not-long-enough journey. She leaves a gaping hole in the lives of all who loved her. We love you and miss you, Mom.
